Pakistan lost the second match in Johannesburg to lose the series. Rizwan and Babar combined for a 197-run stand in 17.4 overs.

The tourists were unable to do so, as Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan put on a 197-run partnership, the highest partnership ever in a T20I. Babar and Rizwan will now be seeking a century for the series.

Babar Azam’s batting masterclass against South Africa gave PAK a 2-1 lead in the four-match T20I series.

His knock also surpassed Ahmed Shehzad’s 111 not out against Bangladesh in 2014.

The Pakistani openers came in brimming with confidence and hit some timely boundaries, but the SA were unable to respond.

They finished the match on 203 for five and need to win the final T20I to tie the series. However, Rizwan and Babar combined for 197 runs and gave PAK the victory. In the second T20I, South Africa were unable to defend their target, having opted to bat first.
